If you are curious about where the money goes, anyone on the GLOTMA committee can give full transparency about how the money is spent.  Here is a short summary:

 

It takes roughly $12000 per festival

1) Two thirds of the budget (approx $8500) goes to paying the artists and for paying travel.  Two of the cabins are donated by the park, however a third cabin is paid for by GLOTMA.

-We feed all of the artists from the moment they get here till the moment they leave

-If the artist is flying, then we have to get them a hotel on Sunday after the fest.

2) We disperse appoximately $1200 to pay a stipend for one off workshops or events given by folks other than the paid artists.

4) The big tent for workshops costs $1600

5) Graphic fees, posters, shirt artwork, stickers, advertising and anything else you can think of takes the rest.
